"We were living in a tent in the Muwasi area of Khan Younis, in the al-Attar area. An airstrike occurred near us, and due to the constant movement and fear, he was eating his lunch then he grabbed the table and his food spilled on him. He suffered a fracture in his right hand, a head injury, and burns to his face, neck, shoulder, and chest."

"Because of the lack of antibiotics, his wound became infected. Yesterday, when he went in for surgery while under anaesthesia, they found that the wound was infected. If there hadn’t been a blockade, or if he had been in another country, he would have recovered from the injury long ago."

"When the war restarted after the ceasefire collapsed, we have been facing much more difficulties. The cases we are receiving are more critical and more difficult than before. The borders have been closed for the longest period since the war started and no medical supplies or medicines entering has made our medical tasks much more difficult in this hospital."

"We are suffering from a shortage of anaesthetics, painkillers and antibiotics, and all of these medications are very important for burn patients, so that we can deal with them. In addition, the burn patient needs a high amount of calories per day, meaning he needs excellent nutrition in order to be able to overcome this injury that he was exposed to."
