India’s army says it has killed three suspected rebels in Indian-administered Kashmir. If confirmed, this would be the first major military action in the disputed territory since last weekend’s ceasefire ended four days of cross-border attacks between India and Pakistan. Earlier, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his forces had only paused military action against Pakistan.
