2. SOUNDBITE (English) Lainey Wilson, recording artist – on winning album of the year and entertainer of the year:
“Oh my gosh. I mean, you put your heart and soul into your music. They’re like your babies, you know – it’s hard to pick a favorite. And just like, I feel like my fingerprints were all over this record. I feel like I just, I sunk my teeth into it. And I wanted to do something that was still true to me, but just kind of pushing the boundaries a little bit and I’m glad we took those risks. And I have just a great producer, Jay Joyce, who has helped me explore different things while still staying true to myself. And I just, I feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Lainey Wilson, recording artist – on the message winning entertainer of the year can send to other female country artists:
“I hope, I hope the ladies can see that, I mean, we can have to see the table too just like everybody else. And it’s important just to plant your flag and do what you got to do the work just like everybody else has to do. This business is, it’s not full of a bunch of handouts. And if it is, if they’re, if you do get some handouts, it don’t last long. And so, you got to put the work in you got to put the – roll your sleeves up, elbow grease, all of those things just like everybody else. And I just hope the ladies feel like it’s possible.”

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Keith Urban, recording artist – on being honored with the Triple Crown award:
“Oh, it’s unbelievable, I mean, it’s a long time between, I guess, new artists and then vocal and then waiting until 2019 to win entertainer. It’s crazy. I mean, I love that I get to do it. So, being honored in any way is just cream.”
7. Old Dominion (L to R: Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung, and Matthew Ramsey) talking with reporters
8. SOUNDBITE (English) Old Dominion, recording artists – on breaking the record for group of the Year:
Trevor Rosen: “It means that we’ve just, not just had a little bit of success and we’re not looking over our shoulder for somebody to tap us on and tell us it’s done anymore, we feel like we have actually integrated into the fabric of country music. When we watch the montage before the show and they show us, it’s a really surreal feeling because in some ways I still feel like that guy sitting out in the crowd looking up to these people, and to know that somebody out there is maybe they looking at us that way, it’s pretty special.”

10. SOUNDBITE (English) Ella Langley, recording artist – on winning five awards including single of the year:
“I’m feelin’ great. I’m feeling grateful. A little, like, I don’t know how to explain that feeling. You know what I mean? And yeah, I mean, just my head’s literally spinning right now.”

STORYLINE:
It was her night once again. Lainey Wilson took home the top prize at the 60th annual Academy of Country Music Awards — the title of entertainer of the year — for a second year in a row. And that was after she cleaned house, taking home trophies for both female artist and album of the year.
Both Langley and Green used their first acceptance speech to shout out classic country — songs with talking in them — that inspired their modern hit.
