Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he expects Vladimir Putin to take part in ceasefire talks that are due to open this week in Istanbul. Russia has said it expects direct contact between the two sides, but has not announced who will lead its delegation.
Domitilla Sagramoso, an expert on Russian foreign and security policy at King’s College London tells DW what she thinks the Russian delegation wants from the talks.
