"There is no food in the markets so the patient’s family can bring it to the hospital to feed the patient. In the past, the hospital and sometimes some institutions provided two or three meals for patients every day, but today, in the last few weeks, the patient depends on himself to provide meals."

"The nurse, after checking the urine bag, said, ‘You haven’t eaten.’ I replied, ‘There is no food, neither in the hospital nor at home.’ She said, ‘You must eat.’ So I called my wife to ask her what I could eat for breakfast. She said, ‘I only have a can of beans.’ I have a heart condition and I’m in intensive care, and all I have is a can of beans, and it’s canned, not fresh. This is the situation in the whole country."

"As for my sister who is sick and bleeds daily, she needs protein, fruit and vegetables. Of course, there is no protein, fruit or vegetables. I am unable to get food for myself to provide for her. I don’t have food for myself and my children to provide for her."
