Officials from Ukraine and Russia will meet today in Istanbul, Turkey for peace talks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is attending the negotiations, but criticised the "low-level" delegation being sent by Moscow as Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be there.
US President Donald Trump suggested that significant progress in peace talks was unlikely until he and Putin met in person.
