“I want to tell to President Trump and Witkoff and all these people of Trump, his team, thank you from my bottom of my heart that they bring Edan home, bring Edan back to us and now there is another 58 hostages that we need to bring them back all together, immediately.”

STORYLINE:
Family members and friends of Israel-American hostage Edan Alexander gathered on Monday ahead of his expected release.
Hamas said on Sunday it would free Alexander as a goodwill gesture for the Trump administration as President Donald Trump visits the Middle East this week.
An Israeli official says Hamas is expected to release Alexander on Monday evening.
“I feel very excited and happy. The process is not over yet. It has just begun. We are really waiting to embrace Edan and feel that he is truly with us,” Alexander’s grandmother, Varda Ben Baruch, told The Associated Press.
Alexander’s adoptive father, Doron Zexer, said it was "the best news that we heard for 584 days."
This is a new day, this is a new day.” he added and called upon the immediate release of all hostages.
Alexander was taken captive in the Hamas-led attack that sparked the 19-month war.
His release would be the first of a hostage since Israel shattered an eight-week ceasefire with Hamas in March.
Israel says it will carry on with plans to ramp up its offensive in Gaza.
