Halfdan Helgi Matthiasson: "And then we all pick our favorites. And last year we picked our favourite, we said that Switzerland had the best song. And then Switzerland won."

Halfdan Helgi Matthiasson: "So we were the smartest in the family last year."

"Oh – so in my early days, when I was watching Eurovision, I was also working in a pub in London, called Ku Bar in Leicester Square. And they used to paint us, like body paint us, into different flags. And that’s how I was watching Eurovision, you know, serving pints. Enjoyable, very enjoyable too. And then in, you know, normal days, I would just get a group of friends, we’d have a projector and we would be home. I did have, twice, a gig, exactly when Eurovision was happening. So my backstage was turned into a watch room and we had the projector."

(Reporter: "What flag did they paint you as?")
Adonxs: "I think I was Germany, I believe so. It was random, it was random. It had no, yeah, it had no reasoning. No, no reasoning, I don’t know why it wasn’t Czechia, but yeah, it’s just probably the ones that were available I guess. I did get allergic reaction on my face the next morning, which I did not appreciate it, but yeah, I guess it was worth it."

"Well, normally when it comes to watching Eurovision, I was the person who was hosting the Eurovision parties and forcing everybody to give me their scores and papers and everything, because I am a huge Eurovision fan, so to me it’s always go to the Eurovision parties that your friends are hosting, because it’s my Olympics, like I live for this, so, yeah."

Charlotte Steele: "Normally on Eurovision night I’d be hosting a big party where everyone comes, you know, taken a different country out of a hat and they turn up with snacks and dressed up from that country. So that’s normally what I’d been doing and a lot of my friends are still doing that this year. So I’m getting a bit of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) that I’m not there."
Holly-Anne Hull: "I know! There are so many parties going on in our honor on the 17th of May I’m literally devastated we’re not at any of them."
