Thailand police rescue two baby orangutans from being sold in Bangkok

Police in Bangkok rescued two baby orangutans they said were going to be sold illegally, in a seizure related to international efforts against the multi-billion dollar illicit trade in wildlife. The orangutans were seized Wednesday when police with Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau arrested the alleged courier for the seller at a gas station in the north of the city, said a police news release.
