1. Sit down interview with (L-R) Duff McKagan and Slash. Including soundbites:

Duff – On why they’re doing Velvet Revolver: "It’s fresh, it’s unbridled, it’s honest, it’s in your face. It’s not contrived, it’s not run by a record label."

Duff – On forming Velvet Revolver: "You know, we didn’t plan these eight years since Guns is over to get back together some day and play, but once we did, once we got in the same room and played, it was totally by accident."

Slash – On the band coming out of rehearsal for benefit gig with ex Guns N’ Roses musicians: "There’s just a thing that when it happens you don’t see it coming, it just happens. It’s like ‘woh, wait! Hold the phones, this is intense! It’s time to harness this and do something with it!’ So that’s what happened."

Slash: (on lead singer Scott’s drug problems): "He’s fine, he’s been fine for a long time. It’s just all of this brouhaha that goes around the internet and everybody starts talking amongst themselves all over the f*****g world and everything gets over exaggerated and so on."
Duff: (on Slash being busted for drugs): "He’s just been busted too many times. It’s like Slash and I were ten times as worse as he was but we were really careful. Drug dealers do deliver to your house you know?"

Duff: (on how Scott kicked the habit): "He and I and Dave Krushner, the other guitar player, took a trip up to the mountains to this kung fu guys little camp. It was 1300 miles away from LA and that’s where Scott kicked and learned another means, another tool besides the traditional AA."
"Ah the AA! So he’s fine."

Slash: (having tasking his family on tour): "This is my first road trip with the wife and kids so it’s working out pretty good. There’s the little extra work that goes into it, but I was raised in a rock and roll family and I want to have a rock and roll family of my own so that’s the way it’s going to be."

Duff: (on what the band’s kids think of them): "We’re this aggressive bunch of guys who say f**k a lot on stage and if we play live I’m going to have to… If Grace my oldest girl, she’s six, comes to see us play, she’ll have to put on earmuffs, or my wife can plug her ears every time Scott says something. But to our kids we’re just like big kids, like cartoon Sesame Street characters."

Slash: (on success being playing good concerts): "That’s what success is – if at the end of the might everybody is f*****g ecstatic, it’s been a great gig. For the audience it’s great, for us it’s great and that’s really what it all comes down to. That’s why you go through what you have to go through in order to be in a band and be signed to a label, just so you can make a record so you can put it out so you can do these concerts and have an hour and half where everything makes sense."
