Netanyahu spokesman defends aid blockade, says ‘Gaza hunger story engineered by Hamas’ | DW News

After blocking the entry of aid supplies to Gaza since March, Israel said it will allow limited food aid into Gaza, with Netanyahu saying it was necessary to avoid famine for "practical and diplomatic reasons." The UN has criticized Israel’s "drop by drop, truck by truck" approach to allowing limited humanitarian aid into Gaza, stating that it is insufficient for civilians.

DW spoke to David Mencer, Spokesman for the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel about Israel’s strategy in Gaza.
