Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman says there cannot be a deadline on drawing up a memorandum on how to end the conflict in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump said Russia and Ukraine would "immediately" start negotiating a ceasefire, after a two-hour call with Putin.
But Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian media that while both Washington and Moscow want a quick end to conflict, there is no timeline in place.
Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky said after the call it was "crucial for all of us that the United States does not distance itself from the talks and the pursuit of peace."
