STORYLINE:
The world’s largest live music event has reached its glitter-drenched conclusion with the grand final on Saturday of the Eurovision Song Contest, a celebration of music and unity.
Ahead of the competition, fans gathered outside of the St. Jakobshalle Arena before heading into the fan zone. More than 300,000 people have visited Basel so far for the contest, and more than 100,000 people will have attended the 9 audience shows in St Jakobshalle and the arena, plus public viewing at St Jakobs Park by the end of the event.
Over 500,000 visits have been made to Eurovision venues, including the Eurovision Village and Euroclub, this week.
