All eyes are on the Vatican these days. Could it be the stage for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine? And if so, is the Holy See reclaiming its historic role as a major power player in global politics?
At first glance, the new Pope Leo XIV has little in common with U.S. President Donald Trump—except that both are American.
Many even see Leo as the complete opposite of Trump. Yet, they share one crucial goal: securing peace in Ukraine, though for very different reasons. Will Pope Leo become a politically active pontiff? And can he heal the deep divisions tearing apart American society?
