The third batch of six cancer-stricken children from Gaza arrived in Jordan on Tuesday, with the patients accompanied by 19 family members.

The evacuation was carried out in cooperation with the World Health Organization, with the patients and their families being moved from Gaza to the King Hussein Bridge by bus and ambulance before receiving treatment.

Amal Issa and her 12-year-old son, Abdullah, were evacuated from Sheikh Radwan, a district in Gaza City. She’s thankful her son will now receive treatment for his stomach cancer.

“Two months ago, we discovered that he had a tumor in his abdomen, and they referred him abroad for treatment,” Issa told reporters.

“Thank God that King Abdullah (of Jordan) received us, may God preserve his glory, because he stood with us, embraced us, and covered the cost of my son’s treatment.”

His mother Riham said the family discovered he had kidney cancer “three months ago.”
