STORYLINE:
Paul Mescal and filmmaker Oliver Hermanus walked the red carpet in Cannes for the premiere of the “The History of Sound” on Wednesday.
The film is in competition for the festival’s top prize and also stars Josh O’Connor.
O’Connor wasn’t present for the premiere.
Other famous faces walking the carpet included Julian Assange, Naomi Campbell and Michelle Rodriguez.
The film sees Lionel (Mescal), a talented singer befriend David (O’Connor) and the pair embark on a journey collecting folk songs and engaging in a beautiful relationship.
The festival runs May 13-24.
