"To see it at that production level was mad. Just absolutely crazy. To see the worlds come to life that only cinema can do. Um… I like- I seem to favor… the theatrical vision that was a little darker to me. I think — the book is dark. The book is an absolute like adult sort of novel. And then the musical, to me, has got just sharper corners, a little more pointed, a little, no pun intended, a little darker. And then, the movie was a little rounder, a little more colorful, a little more, I don’t know, maybe palatable, I’m not sure. So I missed some of the darkness, but maybe this second film of Act Two will bring in some of that."
