Man arrested after car hits pedestrians at Liverpool FC Premier League title parade | BBC News

A 53-year-old white British man has been arrested after a car drove into pedestrians in Liverpool, UK, Merseyside Police said.

Thousands of people were on the city’s streets for Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade.

It is not yet clear how many people have been injured, or to what extent.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the “scenes in Liverpool are appalling”, while the football club has offered support to emergency services.
