STORYLINE:
A new multimedia exhibit has arrived in New York City: "Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified – The Immersive Rock Experience." This 50-minute show takes audiences on a dynamic journey through the music, history, imagery, and culture of rock ‘n’ roll.
Narrated by actor and musician Kevin Bacon, the experience surrounds viewers with a 270-degree, floor-to-ceiling, 18K-resolution digital canvas and immersive surround sound. Designed by ARTECHOUSE, the cutting-edge presentation recreates the energy of a live concert, placing audiences right in the heart of the mosh pit.
Curator Brad Siegel calls it a mind-blowing journey.
“It’s not like anything you’ve ever seen,” Siegel said.
“It’s an 18K resolution projection system that really makes people immersed to that story and the visuals and the sound,” Kereselidze said.
