German chancellor Friedrich Merz has announced ‘a new form of military-industrial cooperation’ with Ukraine. He says Berlin will help Kyiv develop its own long-range missile systems, free of any Western restrictions. Merz made the statement during a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
