"The air alert started as usual, then the drones started to fly around as they constantly do. At first I just listened to their sound, then I went to sleep when it calmed down. Then I heard a boom, shattered glass flew around. My windows face both sides of the house. On that side (where explosion happened) the balcony is totally wiped out, as well as the windows and the doors."

"The neighbor who lives here on the 5th floor was in the hallway and survived. From his words, the drone hit the roof right above his flat, therefore their flat caught on fire. The firefighters put it out after some time."

STORYLINE:
A number of people were injured in Ukraine’s capital early on Saturday as Russia launched a massive combined drone and missile attack.
Explosions were heard throughout Kyiv and many residents sought shelter in the underground subway stations.
Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said drone debris fell on a shopping mall and a residential building in the Obolon district of the capital.
He added that at least eight people had been injured, and that two of them needed hospitalisation.
Debris of intercepted missiles and drones also fell in at least four districts of the capital, according to the acting head of the Kyiv military administration.
Yurii Bondarchuk, local resident, described the air raid siren which "started as usual, then the drones started to fly around as they constantly do."
"Then I heard a boom, shattered glass flew around," he said.
As firefighters tried to extinguish the blazes, the buzzing noises of Shahed engines could be heard flying in the vicinity as air defences tried to intercept drones with machine gun fire and other weaponry.
The nighttime Russian attack came hours after Russia and Ukraine began a major prisoner exchange, in the first phase of an exchange that was agreed on by the two sides at a meeting in Istanbul last week.
