Death toll expected to rise after flash floods rip through Nigerian market town | DW News

More than a hundred people have been killed in Nigeria, after torrential rain submerged a market town in the north of the country. The military has been called in to help respond to what officials are calling ‘unprecedented’ flooding. Nigeria and West Africa in general are accustomed to seasonal downpours, but scientists say climate change is fueling more extreme weather.
