A number of European countries have begun changing their tone on Israel’s Gaza offensive in recent weeks. One of the biggest shifts has been in Germany with Chancellor Friedrich Merz saying he no longer understood Israel’s objectives in Gaza. Germany’s foreign minister is also questioning Berlin’s future arms deliveries to Israel.
