Tech billionaire Elon Musk is leaving his job as the US government’s adivsor on efficienc, four months after promising to take a chainsaw to bureaucracy. Donald Trump praised Musk for his cost-cutting efforts during a farewell briefing in the Oval Office. During his time in Washington, Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency – known as DOGE – fired thousands of government workers, prompting protests across America.
