Why are people in Serbia still protesting against the government of President Vucic? | DW News

Thousands of people took to the streets at the beginning of June across Serbia, demanding early parliamentary elections. Serbians have been protesting against the government of President Aleksandar Vucic for over seven months now. The European Union has mostly been quiet over what’s happening in Serbia. But for the Balkan state with around 6.6 million inhabitants, this is a crucial period as the population is demanding justice and an end to corruption.
