California Governor Gavin Newsom has accused US President Donald Trump of staging a ‘manufactured crisis’ in Los Angeles after he deployed more National Guard troops. Trump also said he would send hundreds of marines, despite protests largely dying down. A convoy of buses was seen leaving a military base in southern California, believed to be transporting marines to LA. Demonstrations began on Friday after federal immigration agents carried out raids in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood.
