STORYLINE:
French President Emmanuel Macon and first lady Brigitte arrived on Saturday for a state dinner with Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene during their visit to the tiny Mediterranean principality.
Their trip began earlier on Saturday with a private audience between the two heads of state at the Prince’s Palace.
The Palace said the meeting was an opportunity to discuss bilateral issues and challenges that are common to both nations.
