1. Wide of a crashed plane outside of a small Tennessee airport
STORYLINE:
Several people were reported injured Sunday when a plane carrying 20 people crashed outside a small Tennessee airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration said a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter plane, carrying 20 people, crashed shortly after departing Tullahoma Regional Airport in Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.
Lyle Russell, a spokesman for the city, said there were no casualties in the crash but there were minor injuries. He said the scene is being secured by local authorities while FAA officials are on the way to continue the investigation.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said several people were flown by medical helicopter to nearby hospitals. Others were being evaluated at the scene.
Local news outlets reported that the plane was used by a skydiving business.
