"Well, interesting as you are the AP, you’ll understand this, this is not something new, right? Whenever – power doesn’t like what you do for a living. They just don’t want to be challenged if you agree with the power or disagree with the power. Nobody likes it. They don’t like to be challenged. And sometimes they get aggressive and sometimes they try to stop you. Where it becomes a problem is when the people in your industry censor themselves. When they start going, ‘Well, maybe we don’t ask that question because maybe we’ll get sued or maybe somebody has to get paid out.’ That’s when they win. That’s what McCarthy did. He didn’t really have much power. He wasn’t really… What he did do was scare the hell out of everybody. And then everybody said, ‘OK, we’ll kick these people out on a blank piece of paper with no names on it.’ And we’re seeing some of that happen again. So, but that’s happened a lot in our history. And so it’s, there’s some elements of that now for sure."

"You know, the fun part is that there’s going to be a time in our history when people are going to say, ‘Is it really true that they were talking about getting rid of the rid of a habeas corpus?’ And I’m going to say, ‘Yeah,’ and they’re going to say, ‘And then what were you doing during that period of time?’ Like, ‘Well, we did this, we talked about it, we argued about it.’ So I don’t mind that."
