2. SOUNDBITE (English) Matt Payne, court volunteer:
"Every single day for the past three weeks, when I show up, I just go through security and I go up. And today, they weren’t allowing anybody, unless you had an appointment, but if you had an immigration appointment, they would let you up. Or if you were an attorney, joining your client for their immigration, they would let up. But the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, the volunteers such as myself, nobody else was allowed up."
3. Federal police, security guards removing e-bikes, scooters from exits (those were later put back)
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Matt Payne, court volunteer:
"When an immigrant is rendered, it’s vital that you get their A number or their file number because that’s how you track them through the system. And without volunteers being there to see that and to record that, we would never know who they’re throwing down that elevator shaft. And so it’s vital to keep a record of these people."

6.SOUNDBITE (English) Matt Payne, court volunteer:
"I, with the stuff that was going on with LA, I was very nervous and the main rendering days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, but they’re ramping it up, right? Each week it’s getting more and more aggressive. They’re moving at a faster and faster pace. They’re being more and aggressive with how they’re going after people."

STORYLINE:
Demonstrators and federal police are in a stand off at a building that houses U.S. immigration courts.
On Tuesday morning demonstrators blocked vehicle entrances and exits at the Henry M. Jackson building in downtown Seattle, where there is an immigration court.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement federal agents have been detaining people after they leave court for the past several weeks. The blocked entry ways would ostensibly stop transportation of detained immigrants away from court, at least through that route.
Security had stopped the public, including volunteers and legal aid lawyers, from going to the hallway outside the court on Tuesday. At the same time, several different groups converged on the court house to protest.
