“The really interesting thing about the robot are the sensors on the robot. So, this is very similar to a self-driving car. So you can see on the top here the LIDAR. This builds a 3D image around the robot.”

STORYLINE:
The compact robots with changing electronic facial expressions are a common sight in downtown Jersey City these days.
Each robot can operate for 10 hours on a full charge, with a maximum speed of five miles per hour. When placing an order through the Uber Eats app, customers have the option to select delivery by either a robot or a human courier. Notably, the robots do not accept tips.
