Two years ago today, on June 18, 2023, the OceanGate Titan submersible imploded, killing all five people on board, while on a deep-sea voyage to the site of the Titanic wreckage.
‘Titanic’ director James Cameron spoke with ABC News shortly after the disaster, saying he was "struck by the similarity" between the Titan submersible and "the Titanic disaster itself."
