STORYLINE:
Remnants of what seems to be an Iranian missile were found in a field between Najaf and Hilla governorates in southern Iraq.

Locals hurried to the place to take photos of the fallen missile.

Israel attacked Iran’s capital early Friday in strikes that targeted the country’s nuclear program and killed at least two top military officers, raising the potential for an all-out war between the two bitter Middle East adversaries. It appeared to be the most significant attack Iran has faced since its 1980s war with Iraq.

Hours later, Iranian missiles struck Israel in retaliation for deadly Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear sites and military leaders earlier Friday.

The wail of air raid sirens and the rumble of explosions could be heard throughout Israel on Friday night.
