STORYLINE:
Missile interceptions were seen in the sky above Tel Aviv late Sunday as Iran launched new strikes against Israel in an escalating conflict.
Sirens were also heard in Jerusalem as the two adversaries traded attacks for the third straight day.
Israel launched a bombardment on Friday of Iran’s capital Tehran as well as its nuclear and military sites, which killed several top generals and nuclear scientists.
Iran’s strikes in response have killed 13 people, according to Israeli authorities.
Iran’s government has not offered overall casualty figures on its side, but the Washington-based Human Rights Activists group estimated more than 400 people had been killed.
