1. Various of news conference
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Christopher Lockyear, Doctors Without Borders Director General:
"We’re in Brussels today to deliver an open letter with a clear message to leaders of the European Union ahead of next week’s foreign affairs and European councils. Our message to the leaders is simple. We urge you to use all political, economic, and diplomatic tools to exert real pressure on Israel to stop the carnage in Gaza. And to allow unhindered humanitarian aid."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Omar Ebeid. Doctors Without Borders Emergency Coordinator:
"I honestly don’t know what to say. It seems in the past 20 months, everything has already been said. Again, international media and human rights organizations have not been let in to have international reporting on the atrocities and humanitarians are constantly doubted and questioned because the image we’re providing and what we are witnessing either does not want to be believed or because it goes against the Israeli narrative. The argument of Israel’s right to defend itself has been tabled as a carte blanche to carry out crimes on the Palestinian population. We spend our times trying to question and go through trying to define what we witness are either war crimes or crimes against humanity or ethnic cleansing or genocide or patterns of genocide."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Omar Ebeid, Doctors Without Borders Emergency Coordinator:
"So we have been asked to do more than our jobs. It’s not enough to try to provide healthcare and protect our teams and bringing in supplies during a blockade and trying to guess where the next target is. We also have to defend what we see is real, to push states to take a stand and allow humanitarian aid in and to not undermine the humanitarian channels through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. We’re asking every one of our staff to go over and beyond. We also have to speak out while risking the sustainability of our activities and causing possible blockages and compromises of our operations."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Virginia Moneti, Doctors Without Borders Medical Doctor:
"Healthcare staff in Gaza is operating beyond the limits of human endurance and they themselves, as it was said, have been displaced several times. They need to leave the medical activities to take care of their family. They have lived a total disruption of their normal life and of their social and supportive network. The mental health toll on our staff is heavy and on everybody. In the last two months, we have seen at least three of our staff had to be admitted to the hospital and they become patient themselves. And this is not sustainable. This is not humane. So we really call for action now. We need humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. Now we need this to stop."

10. SOUNDBITE (English) Christopher Lockyear, Doctors Without Borders Director General:
"On the escalation in the Middle East, of course, like everybody, we’re watching that with great fear and trepidation. And yes, we are concerned that as a consequence of that, eyes could be taken off what is a horrific and ongoing daily horror in Gaza and the West Bank. And so it seems unbelievable to say, but we’re very concerned about losing attention in terms of the atrocities that are happening in the Gaza Strip."
