STORYLINE:
Iran launched a new wave of missile attacks on Israel early Monday, triggering air raid sirens across the country as emergency services reported projectiles striking and shrapnel falling in Israel’s north and center, wounding at least 10 people.
Powerful explosions, apparently resulting from the interception of Iranian missiles by Israel’s defense systems, rocked Tel Aviv shortly before dawn and plumes of black smoke rose into the sky over the major coastal city.
Iran’s state TV said a new round of missile attacks against Israel had started, describing it as the "8th wave of Operation True Promise 3".
