"The deliveries will start in summer 2027, which means in two years’ time from now, initially 40 aircrafts, 40 A220s, to gradually replace the current regional fleet. The rest of the order, altogether up to 84 aircrafts, will be delivered when the new Warsaw hub is ready, being 2032.“ (UPSOUND applause)

5. Airbus and LOT Polish Airlines officials showing signed purchase agreements
STORYLINE:
LOT Polish Airlines has placed a firm order with Airbus, marking the first time Poland’s national carrier selects the European aircraft manufacturer as part of its fleet modernisation.
The agreement, which could foresee a future increase to 84 A220 aircraft, was announced at the 2025 Paris Air Show.
The order includes 20 A220-100s and 20 A220-300s planes.
The A220 aircraft will gradually replace the LOT’s existing regional fleet.
Michal Fijol, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, said he believed the A220 was well-suited for the company’s future plans.
"It serves growth and our plan is to grow, to increase the number of aircrafts, to increase the number of destinations, and to serve more passengers," he said during a news conference.
