STORYLINE:
The Paris Air show at Le Bourget, one of the biggest aviation events in the world, kicked off on Monday.
Around 2,500 exhibitors from 48 countries are listed to attend with more than 300,000 visitors expected to get up close to the latest in air industry technology.
Huge aircrafts, aviation tech and hundreds of air demonstrations will be on display.
The event addresses current issues and looks at its future. It comes at a difficult time for aviation business.
Uncertainty about U.S. tariffs have rattled global financial market and generated recession fears, leading consumers and businesses to start pulling back on spending, which includes travel.
Major U.S. airlines have reduced their flight schedules and revised or withdrawn their profit outlooks for the year due to less domestic travel demand as concerns about the national and global economies sours.
The aviation world is still reeling from the Air India crash that killed at least 270 people in Gujarat state.
Boeing, the manufacturer of the 787 Dreamliner aircraft involved in the tragedy, is still attending the show but its senior leaders will not be there.
The Paris Air Show runs from June 16 to 22.
