"I’m excited. I’m raring to go. We’ve just been revving the engine, you know, each day just getting me prepared. But I’m ready. I trained hard over the weeks. It’s been relentless in about 111 rounds of me sparring with other top level southpaws. Yeah, I’m just, I’m focused and ready to just show the world that I mean business."

"It is quite annoying because, you know, I a lot of times I like to make sure I have my opponent in my head and then I visualize me beating them. So, then for me to then have to change the opponent and have to visualize someone else, it can it can take me out of my mode for a bit. So yeah, is a bit frustrating. But yeah, I’m kind of used to it now. It’s one of those ones where, you know, people are just, I guess, afraid to fight me."

"One of my mates is actually doing this video where he does my training for a week – Calfreezy. So I’m excited to see how that video does. But he’s saying like how hard it is and he can’t believe I’ve been doing this every week. But basically I train twice a day, every day except for Sunday, where I do a 10K and that’s about it."
STORYLINE:
KSI is ready to step back into the boxing ring again.
The 29-year-old British entrepreneur (real name Olajide Olayinka Williams "JJ" Olatunji) is set to fight fellow YouTube sensation FaZe Temperrr at London’s Wembley Arena, Saturday (14 JANUARY 2023). He feels like he is ready for the bout.
"I’m excited. I’m raring to go. We’ve just been revving the engine, you know, each day just getting me prepared. But I’m ready. I trained hard over the weeks. It’s been relentless in about 111 rounds of me sparring with other top level southpaws. Yeah, I’m just, I’m focused and ready to just show the world that I mean business," he said.
The fight comes five months after KSI battled and beat fellow rapper Swarmz in the ring.
For his latest match, he was initially scheduled to fight mixed martial artist Dillon Danis – who pulled out. KSI admitted the change of opponent is jarring when he is trying to get into the right headspace for the competition.
"A lot of times I like to make sure I have my opponent in my head and then I visualize me beating them," he said. "I guess people are just afraid to fight me."
KSI’s focus is currently on boxing, but he also has a successful music career, playing Wembley Arena last year. He also co-created a sell-out energy drink called Prime with Logan Paul which he is hoping to launch worldwide.
