1. Air defence systems intercepting projectiles, UPSOUND sirens
STORYLINE:
Sirens sounded across Tel Aviv early Wednesday morning as air defence systems intercepted projectiles that were fired at Israel.
Air defense systems were seen in action over Jerusalem, with streaks of lights flaring across the night sky, as Iranian media reported that its military forces had launched more missiles.
Israel claimed Tuesday to have killed a top Iranian general as it traded more strikes with its longtime foe.
It says its sweeping assault on Iran’s military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites and ballistic missile program is necessary to prevent its adversary from getting any closer to building an atomic weapon.
The strikes have killed at least 224 people in Iran.
Iran has retaliated by launching some 400 missiles and hundreds of drones at Israel.
At least 24 people have been killed in Israel.
