China’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday confirmed that 791 Chinese nationals have been relocated from Iran to safe areas, with more than 1,000 others currently in the process of evacuation, supported by both Chinese and foreign governments.
Chinese diplomatic missions in neighboring Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have sent task forces to assist the evacuation, the ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said, expressing appreciation for the support from the countries.
