STORYLINE:
An Iranian strike hit a high-rise apartment building in Holon in central Israel early Thursday.
Security services were at the scene assessing the damage to buildings and vehicles.
Other missiles hit sites in central and southern Israel.
At least 40 people were wounded, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service.
Another missile slammed into the main hospital in southern Israel, causing extensive damage.
Israel, meanwhile, carried out strikes on Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, its latest attack on the country’s sprawling nuclear program.
The strikes marked the seventh day of a conflict that began with a surprise wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting military and nuclear sites.
