Iran says it will stop attacks if Israel does | BBC News

Iran has said it will respect the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump, provided Israel does not break it.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country will respect the truce as long as Israel also upholds its terms, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

Israel said it has hit an Iranian radar but has "refrained from further attacks" after its PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Trump.

The US president lashed out at both Israel and Iran earlier on Tuesday, using an expletive as he accused both sides of violating the ceasefire.
