Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth lashed out after preliminary data released about the U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear sites cast doubt on the efficacy of the attack, saying the 30-hour bombing campaign was the most "complex and secretive military operation in history."
Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, noted that the intelligence community is tasked with releasing the full "battle damage assessment" (BDA) when it is complete. However, Caine told reporters during a Pentagon press conference on Thursday that "all six weapons at each vent at Fordow went exactly where they were intended to go."
