STORYLINE:
Taiwan’s stock market reacted to the recent U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities by falling nearly 500 points Monday in the early trading hours in Taipei.
TAIEX, Taiwan’s stock market index, opened at 22,045 points and fell nearly 500 points in the early trading hours to 21,551 points.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, a major item in Taiwan’s stock market, opened at 1,055 points and fell to 1,025 in the early hours of trading.
