STORYLINE:
South Korea’s stock market opened sharply lower than the previous week’s close after the U.S strike on key Iranian nuclear facilities.
A few minutes after the market opening in Seoul, the benchmark KOSPI (Korea Composite Stock Price Index) fell by 48.33 points, which was 1.6 percent lower than last Friday’s close.
Other major regional markets also logged moderate declines.
