4. SOUNDBITE (Russian) Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin:
"Of course, such a decision is a direct consequence of the unprovoked attack on Iran that occurred, a direct consequence of quite unprecedented strikes on nuclear facilities. Of course the reputation of the IAEA has been seriously damaged in this situation. Therefore, of course, such a situation cannot but cause concerns. But as we hear and as we see, there are certain contacts between the Americans and the Iranians, and through other channels. Therefore, we are closely monitoring this situation and maintaining our contacts with our partners from Tehran."

STORYLINE:
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday that a date for the next round of Russia-Ukraine talks will be discussed after the fullfillment of agreements reached at the second round of Istanbul talks.

“The fullfillment of humanitarian agreements reached during the second round is nearing completion now,” Peskov said.

“After that time will come to set the dates."

Commenting on Iran’s parliament decision to stop the country’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Peskov said it "cannot but cause concerns."

Iran’s parliament voted near unanimously Wednesday to fast-track a proposal that would effectively stop the country’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to Iranian state TV.

The move comes a day after a ceasefire deal was met between Iran and Israel following a destructive 12-day war.

If successful, the legislation would make any external oversight of the country’s nuclear program much more difficult.
