What does Trump’s domestic policy bill mean for Mexican policy toward migrants? | DW News

Thousands of Central and Latin American migrants hoping to reach the US have been forced to stay in Mexico City, because the Trump administration has canceled an asylum program. Their future in the Mexican capital is also uncertain. Authorities have flattened nearly all long-term encampments that useed to provide shelter.

Political analyst Laura Carlsen talks to DW. She’s the director of the Americas Program at the think tank Center for International Policy, which promotes transparency around US foreign policy and people affected by it.
