“The war that erupted between Israel and Iran is related to them, it is related to problems and struggle of these two countries and the aggression and threats by Iran on Israel and along with the atomic weapon and ballistic missiles. This war is different than the war that we have with Iran. The Kurdistan Liberation Movement have its own path. We, as the forces of eastern Kurdistan and Kurdish movement, are not part of this war, so far.”

“Well, this war alone cannot cause or change the Islamic Republic of Iran, it can weaken them and it did. It put under question the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic. People are disgraced by them now. The Islamic Republic and the leaders of the Islamic Republic who were talking tough to media by talking about killing and the removal of another country on map. Now, they ended up hiding in holes and safe houses. They are afraid to show up. Therefore, they are weakened and they are weakened in front of people’s eyes, the region, and the world, and what the Islamic Republic was doing was more like bluffing and big mouthing.”

STORYLINE:
Since the outbreak of the Israel-Iran war – now halted by a ceasefire – Iranian dissident groups inside and outside of the country have been watching for signs that the government in Tehran might falter.
While the bases were shut down, the groups have not given up their weapons completely.
