STORYLINE:
Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is visiting Kyiv to show support for Ukraine against Russia’s invasion.
He is pledging continued aid, including modern air defense, weapons, and economic support for Ukraine.
Germany remains Ukraine’s second-largest military backer but has refused to provide Taurus long-range missiles, fearing it could provoke Russia and involve NATO.
Instead, Germany plans to help Ukraine develop its own missile systems.
